Academic Scholarships
At Redfield College, we are committed to empowering our students to excel academically and personally. Our scholarship program is designed to recognise and support outstanding students who embody our values and contribute positively to our school community.
At this time, Redfield College is not offering academic scholarships for entry in 2027.
Redfield periodically reviews its scholarship program to ensure it aligns with the needs of the College and our students. While scholarships are not available for the 2027 intake, the information below outlines the academic scholarship process, criteria, and expectations that apply when the program is offered in future years.
When academic scholarships are available, they are awarded at the discretion of the Headmaster and may be offered to students entering Year 7, whether they are existing or new to Redfield.
The Academic Scholarships typically cover:
- Annual tuition fees up to the completion of Year 12
- Curriculum Technology Levy (CTL), which includes provision of the student’s electronic device
Families are welcome to review the information below to understand how the scholarship program operates and what may be required should applications reopen in a future year.
Application Process
Step 1 – Register with Acer
Registration is required to attend. Registered participants will be invited to attend the next available Open Day.
If the Open Day is fully booked, there is no event currently running, or you are interested in a long-term future date, please register your interest so that our Enrolments team can notify you of future Open Days.
Invitation to Apply
Attendance at an Open Day is required prior to receiving an application form. Once attendance is verified an application form is sent. Submissions will be charged an application fee ($250 per new family, no additional fee for siblings).
Please note that applications are subject to availability at all stages of the enrolment process. If there is no placement available for a particular cohort, the application will be waitlisted.
Sit learner profile assessment
Once applied and application fee paid, prospective students will sit a Learner Profile Assessment (applicable to students currently enrolled in Kindergarten and above).
Interview Selection
Applications and assessments will be reviewed. A selection of suitable applicants will be invited to attend an interview with the School Leadership Team.
Receive notification
An official enrolment offer OR notification of unsuccessful application is sent.

Terms and Conditions
1. Redfield Scholarships are awarded based primarily on the outcome of the ACER Scholarship Testing, combined with the written application, supporting documentation, and an interview at the discretion of the Headmaster or delegate.
2. To be eligible for a Redfield Scholarship, applicants must be Australian Citizens.
Redfield Scholarships will cover full Tuition Fees and the Curriculum & Technology Levy as outlined in the Letter of Offer. All other costs including, but not limited to, co-curricular, extra-curricular activities, uniforms, and excursions are required to be met in full by the parent(s)/carer(s).
3. The scholar must keep the details of their scholarship confidential and not discuss it with other students,
friends, or people outside their immediate family.
4. Redfield Scholarships are awarded through to the end of Year 12 and are subject to an annual review. A scholarship is granted with the expectation that your son will complete Year 12 at Redfield. Should this not occur, it is at the discretion of the Headmaster or delegate to require that the value equivalent to part or all of the fee reductions be payable to the School.
5. Students awarded scholarships are required to contribute fully to the life of the School, including maintaining standards as outlined in the expectations of the scholarship holders.
6. The School reserves the right to review a scholar’s performance at any time and withdraw scholarships offered in circumstances where the terms of the scholarship have not been met. In the unlikely event the School Executive, Board, and Financial Committee decide to discontinue a scholarship, you will be provided with six (6) months’ notice of intention to withdraw the scholarship. You will have the opportunity to respond and provide reasons why you consider the proposed withdrawal inappropriate. In extreme circumstances, the scholarship may be withdrawn immediately.
Expectations of
Scholarship Holders
All scholarships are reviewed annually. Scholarship holders must meet the following expectations if they are to continue to receive the award:
1. Scholarship holders are role models and ambassadors of the School, demonstrating high standards of behaviour, manners, and presentation at all times. They must set a positive example to the rest of the School; in particular those younger than themselves.
2. The scholarship holder should maintain a high commitment to their studies, best demonstrated by their attitude, effort, and grades.
3. Scholarship recipients need to engage in an extra area of interest within the School, across the co-curricular program.
4. The scholarship holders shall consistently reflect the values of the School in their demeanour, including acting with honesty, integrity and leadership.
5. The scholarship holder must keep the details of their scholarship confidential and not discuss it with other students, friends, or people outside their immediate family.
6. Scholarship holders will actively participate in an annual review regarding their ability to meet all of the specified expectations of scholarship recipients.
7. If the scholar does not meet the requirements of the scholarship, the scholarship may not be renewed at the end of the academic year, or in some extreme cases, be withdrawn immediately.
