From the Headmaster
Our Years 7-9 students settle into examinations this week. One of our Year 8s has just told me he clocked up 10 hours on the weekend working through his study guides. What a terrific effort, definitely taking to heart Lao-Tzu’s maxim: “A scholar who cherishes the love of comfort is not fit to be deemed a scholar”.

Year 2R

Teacher: Bryan Reyes

Class Parents: CC & Sean Kos

2R has had a lot fun this year so far! We have been reading great stories like Roald Dahl’s “The Witches” and EB White’s “Charlotte’s Web” and writing different text types about them as well as our Science and HSIE subjects. So far we have learnt about family trees, road signs, the different states of water, different celebrations from around the world and many other interesting stuff. In Mathematics, we’ve been learning about 3D shapes and having fun playing times tables games. We have also gone on a few excursions and seen musical shows. We watched Snugglepot and Cuddlepie at the Riverside Theatre. We went to the Our Lady of the Assumption Church and then the Sydney Aquatic Centre for the May pilgrimage. We’ve also been entertained by various musical acts in the ‘Musica Viva’ incursions.  Mr Bryan Reyes, Class Teacher
