From the Headmaster
Our Years 7-9 students settle into examinations this week. One of our Year 8s has just told me he clocked up 10 hours on the weekend working through his study guides. What a terrific effort, definitely taking to heart Lao-Tzu’s maxim: “A scholar who cherishes the love of comfort is not fit to be deemed a scholar”.

Welcome to Redfield College

Redfield College is an independent school for boys from Years 2 to 12. Founded by parents for parents, Our aim is to truly help parents raise and educate their own children. Our approach at Redfield is that the example of teachers, the curriculum, a positive peer group, and the unique tutorial system all underpin family values.

Redfield students have consistently excelled in the HSC. The curriculum provides a rich foundation for future career paths. Special emphasis is placed on history, modern language, and broad cultural development.  The study of the Catholic Faith is offered.

So much has been achieved over the past twenty years owing to the wonderful commitment of so many parents and teachers.  But we must always remember that educational success is measured not in the present but by the good that each student does in the future, by how well he lives out his adult life.

This website will bring home and school even closer together. Unity, to a large extent, is a function of excellent communication which in turn permits mutual understanding, shared values and consistent expectations. In this website you will read of the values underpinning how we operate in this great ideal that is Redfield College. You will also find much about expectations in the College with respect to curriculum, care of students, school camps, and a host of other items.
